Kent Police is appealing for witnesses after two girls were approached in Dolphins Road on Thursday 7 December 2017.
Two girls were walking along the street at around 5pm when a man got out of a car and spoke to them. When the girls refused to engage with the man he grabbed them and, following a scuffle, the girls ran away. The man was then seen driving off in the direction of Wingate Road.Investigating officer Detective Constable Andrew Palmer said: ‘We haven’t been able to identify one of the victims and would really like to speak to her to find out more about this incident. She was described as being aged around 17 or 18, wearing a dress and bobble hat. The girls are not known to one another but had walked along the road together as it was dark.
‘While incidents of this nature can be upsetting to those involved and the wider community, I would like to reassure those affected that we are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry and at this time are treating it as an isolated incident.’
